Solving the mystery of PTE Writing module
PTE Writing has two tasks --Summarize Written Text and An Essay Writing. Let's understand each one of that.
Summarize Written Text
The story up to 300 words appears on the screen, and you need to read, understand, and summarize it. The challenge is that you have only one sentence to type. Summary in one sentence may give your brain a gentle stroke. However, we are here to make things simpler, not perplexed!

An essay
The essay on a given topic is to be written between 200 and 300 words. The time allotted to finish this task is 20 minutes. The topics are generally fixed and you may find it on the Internet. Even if PTE asks you something different, according to PTE experts, they twist the titles of the pre-defined essays. You need to read between the lines and write accordingly.
PTE Writing tips and tricks
As long as you stay on the topic, PTE Writing will treat you well. Of course, the content does matter! Formatted summaries and essays surprisingly work well in most of the cases, and it is confirmed! However, you need to understand the topic and should take utmost care in not goofing up because if 'formats' work, they need to be carefully written. Exchanging of words without understanding the topic or the question in an essay may turn things from bad to worst. This is one reason I don't recommend formats.
How to score good in PTE Writing then?
Let's keep 'formats' aside. We will talk about the originality of the essays and summaries. PTE is least bothered about your spellings in summaries. Now, this makes one thing clear --you can copy the content from the given paragraph. Whoa! That does not mean that you copy a few sentences from the passage and simply paste them down!
The idea is to take important topic sentences from the given passage and add your own words (relevant) in better language that has one or two complex words. Here, grammar needs a good check because spellings are copied from the top!
When it comes to writing an essay, for those whose English is not good, can rely on the template (but be careful while fixing keywords into the template); and for those who are good at the language, using complex words in sentences and putting some idioms will enhance your Writing score.
While the normal sentence will get you decent grades, the enhanced sentence there shall fetch bunch of grades in your pocket. This was just one example; likewise, you can go for writing the whole sentence or the entire essay; the choice is yours! Nevertheless, be sure that you include enough keywords from the passage while writing the summary. On the other side, essays don't require specific keywords.

Add more complex words
Adding complex words will boost your vocabulary score. Search on the Internet and choose ten positive adjectives and 10 negative adjectives. These adjectives should be complex in spelling. Why do I insist to go for an adjective because adjectives can be fit anywhere. Now, take any topic in Essay Writing, you will have pros and cons; that said, you will have positive and negative side of any topic. That's it! Use a couple of complex positive adjectives in positive sentences, and vice versa.
Example:
Normal sentence: The cutting of trees has contributed in increasing heat worldwide.
Enhanced sentence: Slashing down the trees has played a major role in bringing scorching heat worldwide.
